How to Redirect HTTP to HTTPS in WordPress

The first thing you need to do is to go to the settings and replace the word “http” with “https” in those fields that are shown on the screenshot.

After that, you need to make changes to the .htaccess file located at the root of the site. By default, the file will have something like this:

After “RewriteEngine On” you need to add two more lines:

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

As a result, we will get the following code:

After these changes, all pages of the site will be opened only via https.
